Job Summary

This role is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Inspect, clean, and repair facilities, equipment, or fixtures as needed.
  • Observe and document signs of wear and tear.
  • Gather capital expense information and recommend repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs.
  • Determine replacement needs and document preventive maintenance activities.
  • Perform major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures and oversee the work of junior-level associates.
  • Act as a job foreman on assigned work sites and utilize multiple craft skills.
  • Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
  • Diagnose problems utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment.
  • Provide prompt response to emergency calls and document repair activities.
  • Evaluate technicians' skill sets and provide on-site training sessions.
  • Perform on-site repairs for hands-on learning and ensure completed work meets or exceeds quality, safety, and code requirements.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors.
  • Complete and provide required written and electronic information.
  • Conduct price comparison of parts and travel-related costs.
  • Order parts and replacement equipment and track orders.
  • Record purchases and usage.
  • Manage parts inventory.
  • Review journals and invoices.
  • Compile and report budget information.
  • Submit warranty claims.
  • Comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines.
  • Develop relationships with local parts suppliers and contractors.
  • Ensure contractors follow Walmart quality standards, safety requirements, and meet contract requirements.
  • Identify and report deficiencies.
  • Unload and store equipment.
  • Transport equipment between facilities.
Requirements
  • Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • 1 year's experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
Work Environment

This role is based in Fort Pierce, FL, and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
