Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. As a PCT, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized patient care and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and efficient workflows\
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient\
  • Conduct thorough assessments and gather data to inform patient care decisions and identify potential areas for improvement\
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers to foster trust and promote seamless communication\
  • Stay current on industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and education, and share knowledge with colleagues to drive continuous quality improvement\
  • Lead by example and demonstrate a commitment to excellence, compassion, and respect for all individuals\

  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards\

  • Prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision, ensuring efficiency and productivity in a fast-paced environment\
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, using clear, concise language and active listening skills to ensure mutual understanding\
  • Recognize and address potential conflicts or issues promptly, using conflict resolution techniques and negotiation strategies to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes\
  • Understand and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to patient rights, confidentiality, and HIPAA\
  • Successfully complete annual training and certification requirements to maintain licensure and expertise in patient care\
  • Requirements\

    • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment; Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) experience a plus\
    • Minimum two years of clinical experience in an acute-care setting; gerontology, oncology, or nephrology experience preferred\
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse populations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams\
    • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software systems; willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing systems\
    • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development; participation in continuing education courses, conferences, and workshops encouraged\
    • Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; availability to travel between clinics as needed\
