Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Physicians, fellow Radiology Technicians, and Registered Nurses in executing intricate procedures.
  • Oversee daily operations within the Interventional Radiology Department.
  • Conduct diagnostic radiographic procedures adhering to established techniques and safety standards.
  • Position patients appropriately and configure equipment to achieve optimal imaging results as directed by the physician.
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Communicate procedures to patients to alleviate concerns and ensure cooperation.
  • Under the supervision of a Radiologist or Vascular Surgeon, perform all Interventional procedures across diverse patient demographics.
  • Maintain a sterile environment by employing aseptic techniques and assisting the interventional radiologist.
  • Adhere to established radiation safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate proficient use of all radiographic equipment and hospital computer systems.
  • Optimize time management concerning patient flow, room utilization, supply stocking, and administrative tasks to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Execute any additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Radiology Technician.
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program.
  • Valid NJ Diagnostic Radiology licensure, along with ARRT and BLS certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least two (2) years of experience in Interventional or Cath lab settings.
