Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and execute the maintenance and functionality of electrical systems including power, lighting, security, access control, video surveillance, telecommunications, UPS, and other electronic systems within various county facilities. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. The selected candidate will be part of an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support. Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience, with a competitive hourly rate. A sign-on bonus of $2,000 will be awarded to the successful candidate. Please note that applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S., as sponsorship for employment visas is not available at this time.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license from the State of Maine.
  • Possession of a valid Maine Journeyman license.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with IEEE standards, fire alarm systems, telecommunications, and computer networking.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage electrical systems including power, communications, access control, fire alarms, and data infrastructure within county facilities.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and assist with system upgrades as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities performed.
  • Participate in the electrical on-call rotation.
  • Enhance professional knowledge through workshops, networking, and maintaining relevant licenses.
  • Contribute to team objectives by achieving related results.
  • Adhere to safety and health policies by participating in required training and reporting any safety concerns.
  • Engage in training programs and participate in county initiatives as assigned.
