  • Create comprehensive circuit schematics for ADC and DAC circuits, optimizing for RF performance, space constraints, and manufacturability.
  • Use LTspice and LTpowerCAD to simulate high current, low voltage power supplies.
  • Work closely with digital design engineers, PCB designers, and firmware developers to integrate ADCs and DACs into advanced electronic systems.
  • Prototype and validate designs through rigorous testing, debugging, and characterization using lab equipment and simulation tools.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards and meet customer requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends in ADCs and DACs.
  • Generate and maintain BOMs and assembly drawings to support procurement and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop support documents such as user guides, datasheets, and test procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years (10 years preferred) of experience in electronic design, with a strong focus on ADCs and DACs.
  • Experience in designing and implementing RF circuits (1-12GHz required, 12GHz desired).
  • Proficiency in designing ADC and DAC circuits (up to 12GSPS), including signal conditioning.
  • Expertise in designing ultra-low phase noise clock distribution circuits.
  • Experience in power distribution system design and simulation.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools for circuit design and simulation (e.g., Orcad, LTSPICE).
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment for testing and debugging analog and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design principles, including signal integrity, noise reduction techniques, and layout considerations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail

Job Type

  • This is a permanent position.
Work Site

  • This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Irvine, California and some days remote.
  • First 3 months are fully in-office to train and integrate to the team, after that Hybrid Schedule
Work Environment

  • Small team of 12 individuals, primarily all Engineers.
  • Most of the team have Masters / PHD's, preferred to have one as well
  • Masters degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (preferred) most engineers on staff have Masters or PHD's.
