We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Court Clerk to join our team at the 16th Circuit Court of Jackson County Missouri. As a Court Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our court system, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Process court cases, including receiving and initiating case files, reviewing judgments, and preparing warrants, summonses, and executions.
- Provide direct support to circuit judges and associate circuit judges, including preparing court orders, court calendars, and notices of hearings.
- Manage financial records, including receiving and disbursing monies, reconciling financial accounts, and preparing daily and monthly financial reports.
- Interact with the public, attorneys, and other court personnel to resolve technical discrepancies and provide information and customer assistance.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including creating and processing copies of official legal documents, scanning and redacting files, and answering phones.
- High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
- One year of varied administrative experience performing a wide range of technical office duties.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and exercise good judgment in accordance with general policy and objectives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse parties and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to type 35 wpm, minimum.
This position is subject to random and reasonable suspicion testing for illegal drug use. Employees in this position are also required to submit to and pass a criminal background check as prescribed by the court.
