Electronics/Automation Supervisor

McKee Foods is seeking a skilled Electronics/Automation Supervisor to join our Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will oversee and coordinate the repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical and electronic equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in leading food safety and quality initiatives, implementing maintenance excellence programs, managing projects, and fostering a safety-focused work culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead food safety and quality initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Implement maintenance excellence programs to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
  • Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Foster a safety-focused work culture by promoting a culture of safety and encouraging employees to report safety concerns.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or certificate in a related field (electronics, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, etc.) and at least 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with quality improvement programs or Lean initiatives (e.g., Hit The Target, Lean, DIM, TPM, RCM, TQM).
  • Knowledge of food safety, security, and food plant/equipment sanitation (GMPs, AIB, BRC requirements).
  • Ability to log on to PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and understand ladder logic.
  • Understanding of MCS (Management Control Systems)/RMS (Reliability Management Systems).
  • Electrical, electronics, refrigeration, and mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Project management and installation management experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, demonstrating advanced education and knowledge.
