The Role

We're seeking a talented and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and specification of custom equipment for the next stage of our scale-up. As a key member of our passionate engineering team, you'll play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge technology for a skid-mounted process, working with everything from pressure vessels and heat exchangers to gas handling systems and advanced control mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, specify, and oversee the development of critical equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, gas handling systems, tubing, and controls.
  • Utilize OnShape to create and refine computerized designs for custom equipment.
  • Collaborate with vendors to develop high-quality, specialized equipment tailored to project needs.
  • Work in tandem with cross-functional teams of engineers to achieve scale-up and project goals.
  • Contribute to the evolution of a skid-mounted process technology that will transform industries with sustainable production methods.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (an advanced degree is a strong plus).
  • Hands-on experience with pressurized gas processes (chemical manufacturing, oil & gas, or similar industries).
  • Proven experience in fast-paced environments, startup experience preferred.
  • Bonus points for expertise in PLC controls (particularly in flow, pressure control, and loop-tuning).
