Overview
The English Language Development program equips interns from various teacher education tracks (both undergraduate and graduate) with the necessary skills for obtaining the Michigan Department of Education ESL endorsement. This program entails an additional 20 credits that interns complete concurrently with their primary teaching certification. Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in teacher education or leading collaborative professional development initiatives within educational environments.
- Ability to exercise professional judgment, creatively address the unique needs and objectives of interns, and prioritize student learning while collaborating as part of an educational team.
- Knowledge of the University of Michigan's School of Education and its teacher education offerings.
- Proficiency in multiple languages.
