Position Summary

The Men's Groups Minister is responsible for guiding and empowering men to experience life transformation through Jesus, helping them to fulfill their God-given potential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the transition of men into healthy, biblically-based, transformative communities (Life Groups and other discipleship settings).
  • Recruit, train, and mentor Life Group Leaders.
  • Organize events for men and group leaders.
  • Serve as the creative visionary for Men's Ministry at Northside.
  • Develop and curate effective life group study materials tailored for men's ministry.
  • Assess ministry effectiveness and propose enhancements.
  • Provide regular updates to the Adult Ministries Groups & Discipleship Pastor regarding Men's Ministry achievements.
  • Engage in general pastoral duties as required (counseling, being on call, etc.).
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring timely follow-through.
  • Participate in all church staff meetings and retreats.
  • Assist with church-wide events (Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc.).
  • Be present at all weekend services (except for the approved weekends off) by being available before, after, and during services as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Adult Ministries Team on the annual ministry budget and adhere to it.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Strategic mindset to formulate a comprehensive ministry strategy.
  • Ability to lead and cultivate a discipleship/mentorship environment.
  • Attention to detail while maintaining a broad perspective.
  • Strong communication skills and resilience under pressure.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others to serve.
  • Collaborate effectively with the adult ministries team.
  • Commitment to the vision and values of Northside Christian Church and the Adult Ministries team.
  • Dedication to personal growth in knowledge and maturity in ministry and leadership.
  • Ability to connect and communicate effectively with men of all life stages.
  • Open to guidance and able to work well within a team environment.
  • Skilled in mediating between diverse personalities and maintaining team focus.
  • Continuously seeking to enhance connections with men and the ministry to men.
  • Identifies and creates opportunities for others to develop their capabilities, bringing out the best in individuals.
  • Good listening skills, self-aware of personal strengths and weaknesses, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Mac computer skills preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • BA or BS degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a ministerial role.
  • Active attendance at Northside Christian Church and a commitment to its values.
