Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Rapides Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with the Emergency Department Physician and Staff Physicians to provide optimal patient care.
  • Develop and implement patient education plans to promote health and wellness.
  • Coordinate with ancillary departments to ensure seamless patient care and transfer or discharge.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and new technologies.
  • Support patient tracking and monitoring through automated systems.
  • Review and maintain knowledge of emergency department procedures, equipment, and medications.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification within 2 years of employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 60 months of employment.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 2 years of employment.
  • Graduate Nurse or Registered Nurse with a valid license.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR for Healthcare Providers certification within 30 days of employment.
