Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiothoracic Surgery department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and treatment goals.
  • Administer medications, perform medical procedures, and monitor patient vital signs as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
  • PALS certification within 3 months of hire.
  • De-escalation training within 90 days of hire.
