Emergency Department Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Holy Family Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, assessing, intervening, and stabilizing a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating support systems and resources necessary for patient discharge.
- Prioritize patient care, seeking assistance as needed from appropriate resources, reassigning personnel as necessary, and recognizing the need for emergency intervention.
- Document all pertinent data, therapeutic interventions, and patient responses, including assessment, care plan, patient goals, and interventions, according to established standards.
- Proactively identify risks to patient safety and opportunities to reduce medical/healthcare errors, reporting incidents as necessary.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapy in accordance with physician orders, protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Assess patient pain levels upon admission and as necessary, utilizing the pain scale, and reassess the effectiveness of pain control, notifying physicians as needed.
- Accept accountability for designated patients, effectively handing off patients as required, and delegate and supervise nursing interventions performed by others.
- Demonstrate clinical competence in the specialty area of nursing practice, preferred.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
- Certification/Licensure: Current nursing license in Massachusetts required, BCLS required, ACLS required within 6 months of hire, TNCC and ENPC required within 1 year of hire.
