About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Saxon Global. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based e-commerce and retail platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain tools to improve the reliability, latency, availability, and scalability of our e-commerce platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues related to uptime and availability.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our e-commerce platform and its various services and applications.
  • Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems to detect failures and issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and work with engineers to identify root cause and fix issues.
  • Secure the system from issues, real or perceived.
  • Collect and document metric data to be used by others to build and maintain systems.
Requirements
  • Strong skills in Java, SQL, and cloud platforms like GCP and Azure.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Previous experience working with a distributed team.
  • Previous experience with e-commerce platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with React is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid role with 2+ days in office per week in Sunnyvale, CA location.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with public cloud platforms like Azure or Google.
  • Previous experience working with data pipelines.
