- Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective communication with prescribers to clarify orders and ensure seamless care coordination.
- Medication Management: Determine accurate medication quantities, select proper medication strength and vial size to minimize waste, and ensure correct labeling and dispensing.
- Inventory Control: Organize and maintain medication and supply inventories, perform inventory control duties, and ensure medications are stored appropriately.
- Insurance and Financial Assistance: Resolve insurance issues, assist with prior authorizations, and aid patients with financial assistance programs.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure adherence to Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
