Job Overview

Ameri-Force is seeking an experienced Marine Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our skilled trades workforce, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and testing electrical equipment on ships.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime and weekend work.
  • You must have at least 7 years' experience in ship repair and qualifications.
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required, along with the ability to read and understand technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Remove, install, troubleshoot, repair, and test electrical equipment, including circuits, cables, and systems.
  2. Use hand and power tools, as well as testing equipment, to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
  3. Inspect and test electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits.
  4. Work from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repair.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in electrical system installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of electrical test equipment and safety procedures.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use hand and power tools.
