Cone Health is seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our team. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting physicians and nurses during endoscopic examinations of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare the operating room by setting up equipment and confirming that each piece functions properly.
- Instrument Maintenance: Clean and maintain the autoclaves, or steam sterilizers, to provide a sterile working environment for procedures.
- Endoscope Cleaning: Clean endoscopes in line with Infection Control policies to provide a sterile environment for patients.
- Specimen Collection: Collect bodily fluid specimens from patients for medical study.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance of automated scope re-process filters and report any problems to the clinic office coordinator.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 1 year of experience
- Certification: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
