Job Overview
POSITION SUMMARY
The role involves utilizing hand tools and standard power equipment to construct power wheelchairs in accordance with specified orders and production benchmarks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Employ hand tools and standard power equipment to assemble components based on detailed work instructions.
- Interpret and adhere to electronic work instructions and regulatory guidelines, ensuring compliance with all quality standards throughout the assembly process.
- Engage in the packaging of finished products, which includes preparing accessories, wrapping, and organizing items for distribution.
- Report any defects in parts or discrepancies in documentation to the Team Leader or management.
- Follow the calibration schedule for all tools utilized at designated workstations.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and promptly report any incidents or injuries to management.
- Participate in the Annual Security Training.
- Commit to continuous improvement and demonstrate sound business judgment.
- Collaborate effectively with various departments to surpass both internal and external expectations.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring clear aisles and walkways at all times.
- Pride Mobility reserves the right to modify responsibilities and assign additional tasks as necessary.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Candidates should be friendly team players who are detail-oriented and trustworthy.
Must possess the ability to:
- Manage multiple tasks, solve problems, and prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environment.
- Safely operate hand tools and standard power equipment.
- Comprehend and follow work instructions accurately.
- Be cross-trained for various roles within assigned areas.
- Utilize touch-screen computer systems and learn necessary production software.
- Work under general supervision from a Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager.
- Leverage experience and judgment to meet daily objectives.
- Operate hydraulic lifts and electronic testing equipment.
- Lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs.
- Stand, bend, and kneel as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
No prior experience is necessary.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
At least one year of experience in using hand or standard power tools for assembly in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
EDUCATION
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
