Pediatric Radiology Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Radiology Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing radiologic procedures, coordinating the flow of work, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiologic procedures, including imaging and fluoroscopy, in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate the flow of work, delegate tasks, and oversee the activities of radiologic technologists to ensure efficient and safe operation of the department.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of radiologic images, ensuring that they meet established standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
  • Two years of progressively more responsible radiologic work experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
