As a Senior Vice Chancellor for Education and Academic Affairs, you will play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare by providing executive leadership and strategic direction for education and student affairs.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader with a deep understanding of health professions education and student academic affairs. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of high academic accomplishment, excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, and experience managing multiple stakeholder agendas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for education and student affairs
  • Develop and implement innovative programs and services to support student success and academic achievement
  • Collaborate with Deans and educational leadership to promote interdisciplinary approaches for graduate and professional student education
  • Foster productive relationships across schools and stakeholder groups
  • Ensure accreditation success and compliance with relevant regulations

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of progressive strategic and operational experience as an educational leader in a health professions school or college
  • Deep understanding of and passion for student academic affairs and graduate and health professions education
  • An outstanding track record of high academic accomplishment in health professions education, with an established reputation for creativity, leadership, decision-making, and integrity
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to quickly establish trust and rapport, foster consensus, promote collaboration, and facilitate effective teamwork

What We Offer

A highly competitive salary range of $220,000 - $280,000 per year, depending on experience. This salary includes additional compensation for hiring and retaining top talent in the field. Additionally, UCSF offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans, as well as generous paid time off and holidays.
