Cuyuna Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Peri-Operative Education Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Surgical Services department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient education and care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement patient education programs to ensure patients receive accurate and timely information about their surgical procedures and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments to identify potential risks and develop individualized plans of care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote understanding and compliance with post-operative instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current Minnesota RN license.
- Three plus years of experience in direct patient care, treating similar patient populations and severity required.
- Two to three years of direct patient care experience in SDS, recovery, or related surgical care preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
