Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bakery Team Member to join our Bashas' team. As a Bakery Team Member, you will be responsible for producing high-quality baked goods, maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality baked goods: Mix, weigh, proof, bake, fry, decorate, and finish a variety of bakery products, including cakes, donuts, breads, pastries, and pies.
- Maintain a clean and organized bakery environment: Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas, and maintain a clean and organized storage area.
- Provide excellent customer service: Engage with customers, answer questions, and provide product information and recommendations.
- Assist with inventory management: Monitor and control product inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies.
- Operate bakery equipment: Use ovens, proofers, fryers, sheeters, rounders, scales, and mixers to produce bakery products.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures: Follow all bakery department food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent: Required.
- Ability to lift and maneuver merchandise and supplies: Must be able to lift and maneuver merchandise and supplies, including pallets, up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, including late night and early morning shifts.
- Ability to work with bakery ingredients: Must be able to work with various flours, spices, nuts, flavorings, and oils.
