Senior Systems Developer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Developer to join our Media Support Services team at Mayo Clinic. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting media production workstreams and various media systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain custom system software and/or the installation and maintenance of purchased systems software.
- Configure and support hardware systems, perform consulting tasks, and act as an information resource and mentor.
- Collaborate with department leadership and Information Technology to participate in proposal development and gain institutional approvals.
- Evaluate alternative approaches and present recommendations to stakeholders, proponents, colleagues, and department leadership.
- Regularly review software programs or applications and make modifications and/or updates to ensure currency and functionality within established environments.
- Maintain and support multiple systems or complex software programs and applications and their associated hardware.
- Produce and maintain documentation such as system requirements, designs, resource inventories, and plans.
- Provide technical and project leadership to other staff members, demonstrate initiative, and work as a team member as well as independently as needed to accomplish responsibilities.
- Work effectively across departmental organizations gaining consensus of stakeholders.
- Interface with vendor support service groups or other external support teams to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
- Act as a liaison to Mayo departments and vendors to adequately support the department's computing systems.
- Interface routinely with colleagues to perform job responsibilities requiring collaboration and partnership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience; Or, Associate's degree and 7 years' experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience.
- Applies effective system design principles and software development methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task among multiple complex assigned tasks/projects.
- Evidence of communication, meeting management, and organizational skills and ability to adjust the message as appropriate to the audiences of varying technical capabilities.
- Evidence of project management skills.
- Possesses an objective and positive attitude with all tasks and projects.
- Demonstrated ability to meet project deliverables and timelines and repeatable and reliable performance.
- Evidence of ability to take initiative and proactive on starting tasks and assignments and ability to work independently.
- Experience working in healthcare technology.
- Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters' degree in applicable field preferred.
- Preferred certifications: Power BI (application, Design reporting, data analytics, report filters, workspaces), Powershell, Crestron Certified Programmer, Crestron Intelligent video, Crestron XiO Cloud, Crestron AV over IP (DM NVX), Crestron Toolbox, Crestron Flex, Crestron Commercial Lighting, AVIXA – CTS, Biamp Tesiraforte.
- Preferred knowledge in: Microsoft Teams rooms Pro Management, Teams Admin Center.
Compensation and Benefits
$97,884.80 - $137,030.40/ year
Benefits Eligible: Yes
Schedule: Full Time
Hours/Pay Period: 80
Schedule Details: Monday - Friday, business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Weekend Schedule: Based on business needs
International Assignment: No
