Position Overview:

The role involves contributing to the delivery of comprehensive network services across the organization, encompassing voice, data, and video communications. The incumbent will assess and propose solutions, oversee the execution of implementations, and manage networking hardware along with related software. The primary goal is to establish a resilient, secure, and stable network framework, which includes cloud-based solutions. A solid understanding of standard security, privacy, and communication protocols is essential.

This position offers the possibility of remote work within Arizona, requiring two days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and evaluate network devices, operating system software, and other related components.
  • Maintain, repair, upgrade, and enhance network devices and systems.
  • Diagnose, resolve, and document all activities related to agency systems and network connectivity.
  • Conduct system-level diagnostics and preventive maintenance to ensure operational integrity of network systems.
  • Implement a backup and archiving schedule to ensure data recovery for cloud, database, and file systems.
  • Update system documentation to reflect installations, upgrades, and configurations.
  • Record all work performed in the help desk management system.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Expertise in the implementation, troubleshooting, and design of data and cloud networking systems.
  • Management of network systems hardware and software, including technologies such as Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Understanding of network security principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) operations.
  • Project coordination and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of server-based hardware technologies and operating systems, including virtualization and security.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems, including Azure and Exchange.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Cloud Systems.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree along with two years of experience in Network Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Server+

Preferred Certifications:

Google IT Support Professional Certificate
CompTIA Cloud Essentials+
Cisco Certified Networking Professional
