Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our team at the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological services to adolescents with developmental and intellectual disabilities in our Juvenile Justice Residential Facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessments and testing to identify individual needs and develop treatment plans
  • Collaborate with facility psychologists to ensure compliance with State Education requirements and best practices
  • Develop and facilitate clinical trainings to enhance staff skills and knowledge
  • Conduct quality assurance audits of clinical records to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Participate in administrative forums and meetings to contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State
  • Must maintain a valid New York State license and registration
  • Experience working with adolescents with developmental and intellectual disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience providing behavioral and mental health services to adolescents

  • A competitive salary of $117,875, with a starting salary rate increase for staff hired into the Licensed Psychologist titles
  • Geographic pay of $20,000

Background Investigation Requirements
  • Criminal Background Check (CBC), including State and federal Criminal History Record Checks
  • Screening against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR)
  • Check against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs
