Job Overview

Cutting Edge Fabrication, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication shop, you will be responsible for designing and developing manufacturing processes and material procurement, working closely with our estimating and design teams to produce high-quality fabricated products for various market segments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in project planning by identifying costs and specifying final requirements for labor and materials, working closely with our estimating department to develop a schedule that meets project timelines.
  • Research and recommend materials and vendors for each project, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Investigate and communicate quality requirements to ensure projects meet all design and functional specifications, including tolerances, material and paint specifications, and other critical requirements.
  • Collaborate with shop supervisors and personnel to guide them through project implementation, ensuring timely completion and quality control.
  • Provide detailed documentation of all project phases to leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Work closely with our sales team to ensure accurate and complete quotes, and provide fabrication details during the discovery process.
  • Utilize CAD experience to facilitate work holding concepts and drawings to support product construction.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication practices, including laser and plasma cutting, welding, machining, bending, and layout.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Experience in diagnosing and resolving design and functional issues during project execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to personal growth and company success.
  • Extensive CAD experience, including Solidworks.
  • Previous robotic welding experience is a plus.
  • Good attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Embracing and demonstrating company values is crucial.
