Job Summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment in a short-term acute care hospital setting. As a Computed Tomography Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography scanners to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities
  • Operate computed tomography scanners to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their safety.
  • Administer contrast media as ordered by physicians to enhance image quality.
  • Monitor patients' responses to interventions and report outcomes to physicians.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring the proper functioning of equipment.
  • Transport patients as needed, using appropriate safety precautions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or physicians.
Requirements
  • One to three years of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist.
  • Certifications may be required for this position.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and use a computer.
  • Physical abilities include remaining in a stationary position, moving about, moving equipment (up to 50 pounds), pushing, pulling, and bending.
