**Job Title:** Cardiac Sonographer
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at KA Recruiting Inc. as an Echocardiogram Technologist. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and staying up-to-date with the latest echocardiography technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform non-invasive cardiac ultrasound exams, including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms (TTE and TEE), to obtain accurate images of the heart's structures.
- Collaborate with cardiologists to tailor echocardiograms to patients' specific medical conditions.
- Ensure proper documentation and interpretation of ultrasound images to aid in diagnosing heart conditions.
- Stay current with developments in echocardiography technology and techniques to maintain the highest standards of care.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and communicate imaging findings.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Cardiac Ultrasound or Echocardiography from ARDMS or CCI is required.
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in performing echocardiograms or working as a cardiac sonographer is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and medical professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Working Conditions:
- The Cardiac Sonographer typically works in a hospital or clinic setting.
- The position may require standing for extended periods, moving patients, and working with ultrasound equipment.
- Regular shifts, including evenings and weekends, may be required depending on the facility's hours of operation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to assist in lifting or moving patients who may require assistance.
- Stamina to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity for handling ultrasound equipment.
Salary: The estimated annual salary for this role is around $60,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
