Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Safety: Ensuring a safe environment for patients by implementing quality improvement initiatives and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Providing expert advice on medication therapy, developing and maintaining professional relationships with healthcare professionals, and staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and standards related to pharmacy practice, including handling controlled substances and meeting state board requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure high-quality patient care and services.
  • Customer Service: Delivering excellent customer service to patients, caregivers, and other stakeholders by responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
  • Personnel Management: Supervising and mentoring pharmacy staff, providing guidance on job responsibilities, performance expectations, and career development opportunities.
  • Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and optimizing stockroom operations to maintain efficient workflows.
  • Financial Profitability: Analyzing financial data, identifying areas for cost savings, and developing strategies to improve profitability while maintaining high-quality patient care.
  • Loss Prevention: Implementing measures to prevent loss, waste, and theft, ensuring accurate inventory management, and monitoring store operations.
  • Workflow Management: Streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing productivity within the pharmacy department.

Requirements:

  • Active Pharmacy License in the state of employment
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization
  • Free of pending felony charges or convictions for controlled substances
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree (preferred)

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $73,000 per year, based on experience and location.
