CNC Machinist Job Summary

Fathom Mfg is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machine centers, specifically Doosan and DMG Mori machines, with Twin Spindle. You will also perform MDI programming for efficient part production, conduct manual inspection using gauges and instruments, and understand GD&T and interpret complex 2-D drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC turning machine centers, specifically Doosan and DMG Mori machines, with Twin Spindle.
  • Perform MDI programming for efficient part production.
  • Conduct manual inspection using gauges and instruments to ensure part quality.
  • Understand GD&T and interpret complex 2-D drawings.
  • Monitor and inspect parts throughout the machining process.
  • Follow company quality and safety procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associate degree in a relevant field, or 3+ years of experience in turning center machining, or 5 years of overall CNC machining experience.
  • Familiarity with Doosan and DMG Mori machine operation.
  • Experience working with various materials, such as aluminum, plastic, and steel.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with manual inspection using gauges and instruments in support of CMM inspection by the Quality Department.
