We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at School Administrative Unit 9. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing students with an educational program that fosters their intellectual, academic, and social/emotional growth.

Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver instruction based on curriculum, collaboration with general educators and related service providers to meet student needs
* Demonstrate knowledge of all content areas and child development
* Provide specialized instruction, modifications, and accommodations to support student success
* Use data to monitor progress of students towards established goals and learning standards
* Manage and accurately document IEP processes and implementation
* Create an environment of respect and rapport that establishes a culture of learning among students and staff
* Manage classroom procedures and student behavior in a positive manner
* Communicate with students and their families professionally
* Participate and collaborate in the professional community, growing professionally, reflecting on teaching and demonstrating professionalism
* Supervise and support paraprofessional staff in collaboration with instructional teams
* Follow District policies and procedures

Requirements:

* NH teacher certification in General Special Education or proof of eligibility for NH certification
* Bachelor's degree or higher
* Classroom experience or prior work with children preferred

Evaluation:

Performance will be evaluated by the principal or designee in accordance with District evaluation procedures.

Terms of Employment:

In accordance with the Bartlett Education Association (BEA) contract.
