- Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts
- Employment Type: Travel
Compensation: $2,170.00 per week
Medical Specialty: Emergency Room
Standard Shift: Nights, 07:00 PM to 07:00 AM
Weekly Schedule: 3x12
Role Responsibilities:
As a travel nurse in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for:
- Rapidly assessing and prioritizing patients based on their medical conditions using established triage protocols.
- Delivering immediate and appropriate care for urgent and life-threatening situations, including administering medications and performing basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) as necessary.
- Collaborating closely with physicians and healthcare teams to formulate and execute treatment plans.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of patient information and care provided in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educating patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
- Continuously monitoring patients' vital signs and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Assisting with emergency procedures such as intubation and wound care.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an Emergency Room setting.
- Recent experience with EPIC software within the last year is required.
- Availability to work every other weekend and holiday.
- Black scrubs are mandatory.
- Experience with venipuncture and IV starts is required.
Educational Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
Licenses and Certifications:
Current RN License in Ohio or a Compact State.
BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications are mandatory.
