Position Overview: We are seeking an Emergency Response Coordinator to support our regional operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing functional support to the Disaster Program Manager and leadership at a regional level, or taking full responsibility for service delivery programs within a defined area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Volunteer Empowerment: Facilitate and support a team of volunteers responsible for implementing disaster cycle services programming in the assigned area.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with local organizations to mobilize communities and engage partners in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.
  • Data Management: Monitor, collect, and analyze data to enhance service delivery to individuals and communities, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Training and Development: Support the growth of Disaster Leadership Volunteers through training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
  • Disaster Response Participation: Engage in disaster response operations in alignment with established protocols, including potential deployments as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; candidates with an Associate's degree or relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in social services or program delivery is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications is necessary, with preferred experience in data analysis tools.

Physical Requirements: The role may require regular sitting, using hands for tasks, and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. The work environment is typically an office setting with moderate noise levels.
