Speech Language Pathologist Job Overview

As a Speech Language Pathologist with Lagniappe Rehabilitation Services, you will play a critical role in our team's efforts to provide high-quality speech-language pathology services. Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per yearJob Description

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and supervising assistants. You will also represent our commitment to quality and service in all interactions.

  • Evaluating Patients: Assess patients' communication and swallowing skills, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted treatment plans.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to each patient's unique needs and goals.
  • Supervising Assistants: Provide guidance and support to assistants, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to deliver high-quality care.
  • Representing Our Commitment: Demonstrate our organization's commitment to quality and service in all interactions, fostering positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • ASHA Certification: Possess current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible for certification.
  • Valid State License: Hold a valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license.
Abilities and Expectations

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Travel between Facilities: Travel between facilities during scheduled hours, ensuring timely delivery of services.
  • Varying Work Hours: Work varying hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate patient needs.
  • Lifting and Mobility: Lift 50 pounds of dead weight alone and engage in frequent walking, bending, standing, and reaching.
  • Sensory and Fine Motor Skills: Possess sufficient visual, auditory, and speaking skills to evaluate and communicate patient needs, as well as fine motor skills for accurate writing and equipment handling.
