Germanna Community College is seeking a qualified Supervising Dentist for Dental Assisting and Hygiene to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Supervising Dentist for Dental Assisting and Hygiene will be responsible for delivering restorative dental services, supervising students, and examining and treating patients for comprehensive dental care.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver restorative dental services
  • Supervise students in dental assisting and hygiene programs
  • Examine and treat patients for comprehensive dental care
  • Teach didactic portions of the curriculum as expertise in particular subjects may be needed
Requirements:
  • Licensed DDS in the state of Virginia
  • CDA from the Dental Assisting National Board and a Bachelor's degree for the Dental Assisting position
  • Registered Dental Hygienist with a Bachelor's degree for the Dental Hygiene position
  • Complete Growing with Canvas and TOPS 2.2 prior to teaching
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior teaching experience
  • Work experience in the field
  • Experience with on-line teaching
  • Master's of Science for the Dental Hygiene position
  • Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools
