Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at CHI St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess a current North Dakota license and at least two years of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a Hospital setting. You will be expected to work 12-hour night shifts, every third weekend, and every third holiday shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of conditions, including respiratory failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pneumonia.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Current North Dakota license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • At least two years of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a Hospital setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Two current clinical references.
  • Physical and mental ability to perform the duties of the position.
