Key Responsibilities
  • Apply the nursing process to provide direct and indirect holistic care to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to meet patient needs.
  • Delegate certain aspects of care to those under your direct supervision, within the scope of nursing practice.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on assessment, standards of care, and optimal specific outcomes.
  • Provide a safe and therapeutic environment while maintaining patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
  • New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification.
  • ACLS/PALS certification may be required, dependent on unit or department.
  • Up to 1 year clinical experience in nursing.
  • Cardiac cath lab or procedural room experience preferred.
Working Conditions

The Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent bending, standing, and walking. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull equipment is required. The nurse must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
