Assistant Superintendent

At Charles Pankow Builders Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team. This role will play a critical part in supporting field activities, ensuring conformance with safety requirements, and driving the execution of work.

• Safety and Compliance: Ensure conformance with Pankow Safety Practices, act as an onsite Safety Officer, and participate in daily Safety Inspections.
• Work Execution: Coordinate and assist with scheduling of assigned subcontractors and self-performed work, participate in daily Lean Huddles, and communicate schedule issues to the team.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain an understanding of the Project Requirements, assist in monitoring compliance with the Project Specific Quality Management Plan, and ensure that Foreman and field engineering staff are working together to jointly perform quality control surveys.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the Pankow Team, support the Superintendent by communicating consistently and frequently with field engineering staff, and inform and provide guidance to field engineering staff regarding omissions and conflicts within the documents.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of jobsite field experience and/or 4 years of job site management experience.
• Effective communication skills, sense of urgency, and ownership.
• Working towards a Safety Trained Supervisor Certification (OSHA 30) is preferred.
