Manufacturing Technician

At Birk Manufacturing Inc., we are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of manufacturing processes to convert raw materials into finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and understand all written work instructions.
- Verify kitted raw materials (quantity and proper items).
- Follow direction from Lead Operator / Supervisor.
- Learn and execute all required steps of the build process.
- Maintain proper identification / labeling of parts through all process steps.
- Work cooperatively with other departments such as Marking and QC.
- Follow all company policies and all safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Basic Math knowledge.
- Welding in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Competencies:
- Oral Communication - Ability to communicate clearly in English.
- Communication - Ability to read English, especially detailed work instructions.
- Math skills: Must be proficient in basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Blueprint Literacy - Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports in order to determine and follow materials requirements and assembly instructions.
- Teamwork - Ability to cooperate and communicate professionally with supervisors, VSC's, working leaders, coworkers and all other Birk employees.
- Flexibility - Must be flexible and be able to adapt to changes throughout a workday.
- Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
- Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Applied Learning - Ability to participate in needed learning activities in a way that makes the most of the learning experience.
