Epic Travel Staffing is looking for a Travel RN - MS/Tele 6South 48's

Shift Details: Nights / 6:45p-7:15a, 12x4, 48hrs per week, with consideration for 36 hours, every other weekend required.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid AL nursing license
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
  • Proficiency with EMR systems required
  • Essential Skills: Cardiac Monitoring, gastrointestinal care, renal management, IV administration, heparin/insulin/PCA, orthopedic experience, CVA, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and respiratory care expertise required.
  • Current BCLS certification

Specialty: MS/Tele. Acceptable hours for this position are 36 or 48 hours per week.
Med Surg & MS/Tele Ratios: 1:5-6, with occasional 1:7. This is a fast-paced environment with a high patient load – please ensure candidates meet the job requirements prior to submission.
Experience Required: 2 years
First-time travelers are accepted
Every other weekend required
Floating Required: Must be willing to float within specialty and between campuses (4.5 miles away)
Certifications required: BCLS
Certifications Preferred: chemotherapy administration certification
Skills Required: Cardiac Monitoring, gastrointestinal experience, renal failure, IV, heparin/insulin/PCA, ortho experience, CVA, spinal cord and traumatic brain injury experience required, respiratory experience required
Must pass cardiac exam during orientation
EMR experience required; Meditech Expanse training will be provided during orientation. Unit Information
Unit primarily focuses on orthopedic/post-surgical and trauma care; a portion of the unit is dedicated to oncology patients. Chemotherapy may be administered by certified nurses.
