Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As a pediatric skilled nursing care provider, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care to children with complex medical needs.

Job Summary:

The LVN will be responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the developed care plan and physicians orders for each individual patient. This includes:

  • Delivering and coordinating quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Continuously observing and assessing patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate.
  • Documenting all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner.
  • Participating in and updating the nursing care plan.
  • Providing care utilizing infection control measures that protect both staff and patient, according to OSHA standards.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
  • One (1) year of experience required working under current nursing license.
Preferred Qualifications:

We prefer candidates with:

  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
  • Home health experience.
Physical Requirements:

This role requires:

  • Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
Environment:

This role involves working in a variety of environments, which may include exposure to allergens and other conditions.
