About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Campus Support Coordinator 3rd Shift. This role is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our consumers, as well as maintaining the security and integrity of our campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain residential coverage levels from each Residential Administrator and monitor coverage levels throughout each shift to ensure adequate staffing is maintained.
  • Patrol and monitor campus grounds, checking for fires, prowlers, vandalism, or other unusual occurrences, and make rounds of buildings/units according to DDSN directives and facility internal procedures.
  • Complete daily logs of issues arising on each shift, documenting important events and sending communication to appropriate management staff for follow-up on noted deficiencies.
  • Provide on-the-spot corrections for noted deficiencies and assist staff as needed with programmatic issues, especially consumer behavioral issues, in accordance with the consumer's BSP.
  • Provide direct hands-on individual care to all consumers as needed, following sound professional techniques according to agency guidelines, rules, and regulations.
  • Contact the Facility Administrator/designee as soon as possible regarding notification following ICF regulations, departmental directives, and regional center procedures.
  • Attend periodic meetings with other Campus Support Coordinators, switchboard operators, and executive staff members to facilitate follow-up of information regarding facility procedures, events, policies, and attend training as appropriate.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma and management experience with business and/or leadership roles in federal, state, or private organization settings.
  • Preferred qualifications include knowledge of the methods and techniques for securing buildings and grounds, ability to maintain peace and decorum, knowledge of safety, security, and fire protection practices, and ability to act quickly and intelligently in emergency situations.

The South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) is the state agency that plans, develops, coordinates, and funds services for South Carolinians with severe, lifelong disabilities of intellectual disability and related disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and similar disabilities.
