About the Role


Columbus Oaks Healthcare Community is seeking a skilled Nursing Professional to join our team. As a Licensed Practical and Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities


· Administer medications or start intravenous fluids, accurately documenting patient information.


· Monitor patients' conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.


· Respond to patient needs, providing assistance and support as required.


· Measure and record patients' vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.


· Provide basic patient care, including taking temperatures, blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging, or performing catheterizations.


· Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions.


· Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, consulting with other healthcare professionals as needed.


· Assemble and utilize medical equipment, such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, or oxygen suppliers.


· Record patients' food and fluid intake and output.


Requirements


· Possess a general knowledge of nursing and healthcare terminology.


· Hold current state licensure as a Licensed Practical or Licensed Vocational Nurse.


Education and Experience


· Possess a postsecondary certificate from a vocational school or an Associate's degree in nursing.


· Maintain current state licensure as a Licensed Practical or Licensed Vocational Nurse.


Physical Demands


· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.


· May require prolonged periods of standing, moving, and bending.


· Ability to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
