Diesel Fleet Technician

Are you an experienced Diesel Mechanic looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Technician to join our team at Performance Foodservice. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium to heavy-duty diesel vehicles to ensure safe operation and compliance with industry standards.
About the Role:
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with medium to heavy-duty diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Inspect and repair or replace damaged or worn-out parts to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals and meet customer expectations.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in diesel mechanics, with a focus on medium to heavy-duty vehicles.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $33.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Sunday-Thursday shift schedule, 3:00pm-11:30pm.
