Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial reporting and accounting functions for a portfolio of properties.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for each property.
- Manage lease administration, including calculating rent adjustments and tenant invoicing.
- Collaborate with property managers and team members to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Facilitate year-end audits and tax preparation processes.
- Utilize MRI and Yardi software to enhance accounting efficiency.
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of all financial transactions.
- Establish and uphold internal financial controls and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in property accounting, ideally within the mortgage sector.
- Proficiency in MRI and Yardi accounting software is essential.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial operations.
- Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- CPA certification is advantageous.
