Position Overview: The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics and shipping operations, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and have proficient skills in operating forklifts. This role is crucial for overseeing the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring precision and punctuality, and maintaining an orderly warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate forklifts to load and unload shipments and transport materials within the warehouse.
  • Prepare and manage shipments, including the picking, packing, labeling, and staging of products for dispatch.
  • Confirm incoming and outgoing shipments against relevant documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Examine and report any damaged items or discrepancies in shipments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, adhering to safety and operational protocols.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth workflow and address any shipping-related challenges.
  • Utilize inventory management systems to monitor and manage stock levels effectively.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits as necessary.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Strong work ethic with a focus on quality and productivity.
  • At least 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Physical capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and record-keeping.
