POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facility Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in executing mechanical repairs and preventive upkeep within their designated expertise, including HVAC systems, electrical installations, plumbing, and pump operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Initiate and complete maintenance work orders, documenting labor and materials used. (EF)
  • Skilled in repairing or replacing equipment, lighting fixtures, or basic plumbing systems. (EF)
  • Knowledgeable about trade symbols, terminology, and the operation of various equipment. (EF)
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures. (EF)
ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT:
  • Align daily performance with the hospital's organizational policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate adherence to the hospital's Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
  • Follow the guidelines set forth by the hospital's Ethics, Compliance, and Confidentiality Program.
  • Consistently operate within the professional Scope of Practice.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
  • Management reserves the right to assign or reassign responsibilities as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in mechanical repairs and inspections within a healthcare or similar environment.
  • Proficient in basic wiring, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Licensed in a relevant trade, such as plumbing, electrical work, or HVAC.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing blueprints or schematics.
  • Experience with HVAC, electrical systems, and plumbing maintenance.
