Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital. As a Rad Tech, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

About the Job:

">

This is a full-time position that requires the technologist to demonstrate knowledge and skill necessary to provide care to pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and adult patients. You will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiography exams, using digital equipment, and ensuring proper positioning and technical factors.

You will also be required to:

">
  • ">
  • Demonstrate competency in areas of general diagnostic radiography, use of digital equipment, knowledge of the PACS system, positioning, procedure preparation, and technical factors.">
  • Responsible for the proper use of RIS, Meditech (scheduling exams, patient tracking, image tracking, proper completion of exams, capture charges).">
  • Understand and follow infection control/universal precautions in the performance of all job tasks.">
  • Accommodate inpatients or requests for urgent exams as the need arises.">
  • Observant for image artifacts; clean image detectors as necessary.">
  • Possess the ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives, and choose an appropriate course of action.">
  • Obtain patient history as needed; assists radiologist during procedures, helping to put the patient at ease.">
  • Advises supervisor of any equipment issues requiring service.">
  • Demonstrate ability to shut down radiologic equipment and/or reboot computers.">

Additional Responsibilities:

">

May have access to radiopharmaceuticals, contrast agents, and other non-controlled medications as appropriate to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. May be called upon to physically witness waste and/or inventory controlled substances with another authorized individual. Responsible for maintaining work area (this includes cleaning exam rooms as well as mobile equipment and stocking linen).

  • BASIC CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT MUST BE OBTAINED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT START DATE">
  • REGISTERED RADIOGRAPHER (ARRT)">
  • STATE LICENSE RADIOLOGICAL PRACTICAL TECHNICIAN">
  • VOCATIONAL SCHOOL GRADUATE">

Estimated Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
