Job Description

The University of St. Thomas is seeking a Grant Project Manager to oversee the VETSTART grant program. This is a full-time, year-round position that requires a strong background in social services, education, or psychology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the grant, including fiscal/budget management, metric and outcomes assessment, and support/development/implementation of grant-funded projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the grant, including fiscal/budget management, metric and outcomes assessment, and support/development/implementation of grant-funded projects.
  • Track and report on veteran student enrollment, retention, persistence, and graduation rates.
  • Provide coaching services to military-connected students, including planning and executing student engagement activities aimed at increasing student success.
  • Refer students for additional supportive services, academic support, additional tutoring, mentoring as necessary.
  • Create partnerships and sponsorships with veteran-friendly and veteran-serving agencies, groups, and organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and background in social services, education, psychology, or related field.
  • Two years of experience serving veterans at the college level, university level, or veteran-specific non-profit organization.
  • Two years as a program manager with budget, compliance, and outreach experience.
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills.
  • Excellent rapport with university-wide communities and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience.
