Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Interventional Cardiology team in the Cardiac Cath Lab. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Labs.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders to ensure timely and effective patient care.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs to ensure a smooth transition to home or other healthcare settings.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration given to licensed military RN experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Work Environment

This role requires frequent walking from department to department, sitting at a workstation or desk, and standing. Work may include occasional pushing and/or pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Work requires finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.

Mental Demands

This role requires the ability to work at a fast pace, prioritize multiple assignments/projects, and respond to numerous requests. The ability to resolve conflicts among staff and work collaboratively with department directors, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team is essential. The ability to ensure operational efficiency, problem-solve, and make decisions is also required. Self-control and the ability to tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers are necessary.
